Thanks to everyone in this thread for trying out different solutions (reinstalls, new phones, etc) - you sharing your info has been really appreciated. I'll try to get some logs to share tomorrow. My guess is that something is preventing it from running properly in the background since the messages aren't even being received by the device until you open it. Usually it continues to work for something like 10-30 seconds after the app gets put in the background, but once that short period is done, it stops notifying. Having said that, I've gotten delayed messages ranging from 15m (short delay) to several hours (long delay). If I close the desktop app, it won't show as delivered for the sender unless I have the app open in the foreground on my iPhone. I use the desktop version too which is on pretty much all the time, so it does show as delivered because it gets delivered to the desktop app. While I seem to not have had this issue for the duration that most people here are reporting, it started for me about two weeks ago and it's really frustrating.Īs others are reporting, messages are only reliably received if the app is open in the foreground. you can drop links to the logs into the thread here or send them straight to where we’ll use the logging to better understand what might be happening in these situations.
